What it's like
Naples' historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Narrow streets, churches, workshops and pizzerias just minutes away on foot.
This is where Spaccanapoli and Via dei Tribunali run through. Great for a first trip, but not for those wanting quiet.
You have four Line 1 stations around the area, depending on where you're staying.
Noise and scooters until late, and narrow cobbled pedestrian streets. In busy spots and pizzeria queues, keep your belongings close. If you're sensitive to noise, ask for a room on a higher floor or facing an inner courtyard.
Good fit if…
- You want to be right inside historic Naples, with food and sights minutes away
- You'll mostly get around on foot
- Several nearby metro stations suit you (Dante, Museo, Università, Duomo)
